Why does my arhive drive fill up so quickly?

We do not suggest using a drive bigger than 1 TERABYTE.

Archiving can be done to HARDDRIVE or NFS location or dual.

AMETHYST does an incremental backup. It will backup the entire
database each night and only recordings since last archive will
be archived.

The space that the arcive takes up will depend on the:
1. call volume
2. size of the database file
3. number of screenshots (if in use).

The database size is usually not to big. It will depend on your
call volume and how much 'live' data is in the system. There is
an option to purge recordings. Only archive recordings will be
purged. Auto purge is set according to 'days to keep alive'. If
recordings is purge from the live database, then when archived
(as part of the archive process) it will be backup and restored
to reduce the database size.

Purged recordings must be access from the archive drive using
our AMTListen program.
