Polycom conference phones and recording on Mitel

Postby Belinda Frick » Thu Nov 18, 2010 2:33 pm

To voice record the Polycom 6000 conference phone using the SRC facility
on a Mitel controller, the following needs to be in place first.

1. The Phone needs to be configured on the Mitel and working. Conference calls must work too.
2. You will require a working SRC server
3. A working Amethyst and CRE installation.

Configuration on the Polycom:

1. Use the Polycom installation document supplied by Mitel (Mitel Polycom Config_08-5159-00001.doc)
and follow the steps to configure your SIP settings on the Polycom.
2. Leave the login and password details as they are.
3. Every instance where the Mitel IP address is specified, change this to the SRC server's IP address.
(This is usually done through the web interface on the phone's IP address)
4. After each setting you have to click the 'save settings' button and the phone will reboot.
5. Once all the IPs have changed to the SRC, check on the SRC's device display page and make sure
the phone is listed.
6. Setup the CRE with the Polycom extension.
7. Check that you can still call and do conference calls from the phone.
8. Check if the recording worked properly. Log into AMETHYST Supervisor and do a search for the call.
