1. Where is my data files normally stored?

PABX3
writes the rawdata from the comport to a txt file (if create rawdata is ticked)
in C:\Program Files\Datatex\PABX3\Rawdata\Rawccyyww.txt
and converts the data to a pip file with the file name pabx.pip
in the folder C:\Program Files\Datatex\PABX3\.

Then TOPAZ
loads the pabx.pip
and renames it to a .pip file (filename = hex value) and moves this .pip file
to C:\Program Files\Datatex\TOPAZ\OldPabxPip.

2. How do I normally import data into TOPAZ:

Use PABX3 to load the rawdata (txt).

Use TOPAZ to import the .pip.

3. What went wrong:?

If you use TOPAZ to import the rawdata text file, you
will get no data, because the format of the input file
is incorrect. The .txt will now be in
C:\Program Files\Datatex\TOPAZ\OldPabxPip as a file with
a hex value file name and a pip file extension,
example of file name BB914A0C.pip.

4. How do I fix this:?

You need to rename the .pip file to .txt and move it back to
the rawdata folder. If you look up the import error in the
TOPAZ.log file in C:\Program Files\Datatex\TOPAZ\ you can get
the name of the .pip file (use the date and time you did the
import to find the file name).
Now you can use PABX3 to import it, as explained above.
