TOPAZ: TCPIP and network settings

To check if the TCP/IP is working:

In Windows98: Start > Run > Type command and enter, then ping 127.0.0.1
If this gives errors, get the IT Department to re-install the TCPIP.
ALSO SEE: How to ping a computer?

If the ping is successfull, then TCP/IP is available (their is a
network connection).

If it is an stand-alone-pc then under drivers choose Microsoft and dialups
since you do not have a network card.

XP: Control Panel-> Network Connections-> rights-click on
Local Area Network, select properties, choose the General tab,
"Internet Protocol(TCP/IP)" should be listed.

If the PC has a network card, make sure that only one network
driver is installed.

UDP:

To see if UDP is working, in TOPAZ go to [Setup-> Propeties-> PABX3].
The white window at the left hand bottom corner will show
the details of the PABX3 program, example "Network enable".

If the window is blank then UDP is not working or PABX3 is closed.
Close TOPAZ, open PABX3, open TOPAZ, now you should see your PABX3
details. If the window is empty ensure that the TCP/IP is installed and
functioning correctly.
