TOPAZ cannot differenciate between the outgoing calls and the internal calls
breaking out on the same routing line. If a call direction (IO) is outgoing, then the
value in the number field will be used to cost the call.
Please note that neither of these two solutions will not change the call direction (IO) or the
call action for this call record.
Solution 1:
Setup a plugin rule to fool TOPAZ into thinking that this call should not be costed.
If TOPAZ receives a free call number, the call will not be costed.
Please note: When using this setup you will loose the extension the
internal calls was made to. All internal calls will therefore always 'dial' the same
telephone number, in the example below '10150'. However in the rawdata the extension
number will be reflected. Also note that this will only work for setup with PABX's
that gives off the telephone number when a outgoing call is transferred (and not the
extension number when the call is transferred to).
Please note that this will not change the call direction (IO) or the call action for
this call record.
Setup required:
In this example we will use the free call number '10150', which is 'ALTERNATE ROUTING ACCESS MENU'
and extension is '8298'. Each extension needs to be setup in the plugin rule. You do
not have to setup the lines that the extension can dial out on, as all calls with
the extension numbers you specify as a telephone number will be effected (regardless
on the line the call was made on).
Go to PABX3 and select OPTIONS and the 'PLUGIN RULES'.
Settings:
COLUMN: NUMBER
CHECK METHOD: EQUAL
CHECK VALUE: 8298
REPLACE VALUE: 10150;
STOP CHECKING RULES WHEN THE RULE IS EXECUTED: STOP
Click on the 'Save' button next to 'STOP CHECKING RULES WHEN THE RULE IS EXECUTED'.
Click on the 'Save' button under 'STOP CHECKING RULES WHEN THE RULE IS EXECUTED'.
ALSO SEE: How to setup a plugin rule.
You can create a plugin rule for each extension via the plugin rules option in PABX3 or create the
first rule and then edit the pabx.prf file for the remaining extensions.
In the folder 'C:\Program Files\Datatex\Pabx3' you will find the pabx.prf file. Open it with a
text editor, for example editpad. The first rule will be displayed under the '[PluginRules]'
section. Simply copy rule 0 and change the extension number. Repeat untill all the extensions
is entered.

Solution 2:
You can use the Routing Table to setup the extension per line number as INTERNAL.
Please note: For each line you need to setup all the extension.
In [TOPAZ -> Rates -> Routing Tables], enter your line
number and cost. In this example it is line=1 and costing=INTERNAL and extension=8298.
RatePrefix Line UsePrefix Description
8298 1 INTERNAL Internal calls on routing Line 1
This will cost all calls for extension 8298 on line 1 at the rate INTERNAL.
