Each time I open TOPAZ, the serial number changes

This is a Windows user access problem. The Windows user that is logged in when TOPAZ is
registered, is the Windows user who has access to TOPAZ. This user rights is setup under
Windows.

Put your TOPAZ CD in the drive. Once the TOPAZ menu appears, double-click on the
DATATEX DYNAMICS heading. It will display the Windows user name, who is logged into the
PC. This is display in the centre under the DATATEX DYNAMICS heading.

Once you have the Windows user name, please check if the user has full control over
the Datatex folder. ALSO SEE: Access rights to run TOPAZ under XP and 2000 full control
If this Windows user does not have the proper access, ask the IT department to set it up
as you will need the ADMIN login and it could affect security policies of the company.

Once the Windows user has full control over the Datatex folder, go to 'C:\Program Files\'.
Check that the Datatex folder is NOT read-only (right-click on the folder, select 'permissions').
If you need to change it, apply for sub folders also.

Now you need to run the reset serial program. TOPAZ will run for a trial period of 30
days (expires once the calls logged into TOPAZ is more than 30 days in the past).
ALSO SEE: How do I reset my serial number?

TEST:

Close TOPAZ and open it again. Check if it has the same serial number. If no serial number
then there is still an access problem.
