Backing up your ONYX recordings

Postby Belinda Frick » Mon Dec 13, 2010 10:14 am

1. Make a copy of your entire data folder (C:\programfiles\datatex\onyx\data)
and save it in your hard drive.

Rename the copied data folder, example 20060113 to DATA2 for example.. All your
recordings are stored in the data folder. Please make sure that the listing file is
present in the data folder as this is what will allow you to listen to your recordings.

2. To listen to the recordings from the data folder you copied:

In ONYX -> Settings, under the PATHS section, change the recording
path to the location of the copied data folder (Data2), in this example,
"C:\Program Files\Datatex\Onyx\Data2\".
Now you can access the recordings that you copied onto thePC.
While using this file path (DATA2 folder) to listen to
recordings, all recordings made will also be saved in the DATA2 folder
Remember to change the recording path back to the default when you are down listening
to the recordings..
Once done with the listening process, please change back the
"Recording Path", so that your ONYX can function as setup previously.
