Windows 7: AMETHYST Supervisor cannot play recording

I can log into AMETHYST Supervisor, search for a recording, save the recording and play it back with my browser, but I cannot play the the recording from AMETHYST Supervisor.

Things to check:

  • Active X must be allowed by the browser.

    For Internet Explorer, refer to 'Internet Explorer: Manage Add-ons' section in forum post 'Active Listning: I have no player displayed':

  • Check your proxy settings, because settings for HTTP and HTTPS must be the same.

    NOTE: AMETHYST 1.6 uses HTTPS.


  • In AMETHYST Supervisor Media Player is embedded. Media Player that is embedded uses the system settings and not the browser settings. Internet Explorer normally uses the system settings. If you use another browser it might be the problem.

  • To conclude you will need to check System/Browser/Media Player settings, since you can play the recording via Media Player but not the browser.
