AMETHYST 1.5:Critical Error log:Error mounting backup drive

Postby John Richard Procter » Fri May 06, 2011 9:37 am

This error occurs when the backup drive is not found.

The backup drive can be either:

hda1
hdb1
hdc1
hdd1.

This error refers to the removeable IDE drive.

Please ensure that it is properly inserted into the server and the lock is "ON". If the
lock isn't on, there will be no power on the drive and it can't be used as the archive drive.

If the removeable drive was removed from the harddrive bracket and inserted into it again,
you need to power the server off, switch the lock to "ON" and boot the server for the BIOS to
detect the drive. Please note that the server must be powered down when you insert the drive
and switch the lock to on.

AMETHYST 1.5.8.0 and newer:

Please use the 'Test Connection' button in AMETHYST webadmin under the 'Configure Archive Settings'
link. Make sure that 'Archive Type' is set to 'NFS' or 'DUAL' (depending on which option you use with
your NFS backup).

Thereafter you can try the manual archiving.
