DP card:How do I check if my extension is setup to record?

Postby John Richard Procter » Mon May 30, 2011 1:46 pm

Overview:

The DP card is digital. It records lines/trunks and extensions.

The recording takes place on the cardserver. You need to configure the extension
for recording on the cardserver.

The user details are configured under SMDRLink for the extension and are swept with
the recording. The recording is made on the cardserver, and SMDRLink runs by default
on the AMETHYST server. Therefore this setup does not influence the actual recording
taking place. It is used to identify it when doing searches in AMETHYST.

FOLLOW THESE STEPS:

Log in to the 'Administrator'.
Click on 'Configure Cardserver IP'
Enter the Cardserver Display name and the IP address on which the AMTCards service is running.
Go back to the Administrator home page.

Configuring the Cardserver:

On the home page there will be extra links available
'View Cardserver Display'
'Configure Cardserver'
'Configure Cardserver Rules'
NOTE: These links will ONLY be available if the Cardserver IP has been entered.

Configure Digital/Analogue Slots:

  1. Click on 'Configure Digital slots',
  2. Tick 'Enable' on the channel and tick 'Extension'
Extension Recording: Will tell the channel that it is connected to an extension and
the mapping should be done for extensions.
  3. Click on 'Apply changes' to save.

View Cardserver Display

  1. Make a test call(eg. ext120) and check if the channel(eg. channel 1) is recording. This shows the current activity, status and active channels.
  2. When one of the channels is clicked,it will show the user configured to that channel.

Disabled channel (Dark green) Idle Active channel (Bright green) Recording channel (Red)

The channel will be Red if it is recording.
When one of the channels is clicked, it will show the user configured to that channel.
