The 'Configure Cardserver/CRE' link does not work

To use this link from the AMETHYST Webadmin Home page, the IP of the Cardserver/CRE must be configured and TCP port 27004 must be available.

  • Go to AMETHYST webadmin Home page -> Configure Cardserver/CRE IP

    The IP address for 'Server IP' must be entered and a server name also.
    If not please enter and click on APPLY to save.

    The link will then be displayed.

  • If the IP address is configured, please confirm if correct IP address for your recording solution.

  • If a Cardserver check that the physical box is up and running.

  • If the Cardserver is up, check if you can ping the AMETHYST server from the Cardserver to ensure it is not a network issue.

  • If above is in place then basic configuration is correct. We have had the following scenarios:

    • Scenario 1:

      AMTMitelCRE Version [1.6.4.6] crashed, two network ports now show under the dtxsrctunnels. When the CRE was started again, it could not open UDP port 27002 (which is why it can't send status updates to AMETHYST), and TCP port 27004 (which is why you can't reload or configure it).

      The side affect of this is that:
      • popups don't work(if you use AMTClient).
      • If you have for example dialer intergrtion, that the dialer integration instructions can't be received. It's going to make long recordings for the agents using the dialer.
      To fix it, the CRE and dtxsrctunnels must both be stopped. CRE must be restarted.

      You will need to contact Datatex support to assist in the restart of CRE.
