How do I add/configure a Supervisor?

Postby Belinda Frick » Thu Mar 15, 2012 3:14 pm

Overview:

AMETHYST Supervisor access is given by user name. You need to allocate the user names to the Supervisor.

Required:

Steps:

  • If you want to create a new Supervisor, first check if you have enough licenses:
AMETHYST License Manager page, will list total number of Supervisor licenses.

On AMETHYST webadmin Home page, click on 'Configure Supervisor'.
To add a new Supervisor, on the top left hand side click on the link 'New Supervisor'.

NOTE: Only if you have free supervisor licenses you will have the link 'New Supervisor'.

You will have two blocks on the screen, this is the user names the Supervisor can get access to.

Move the users from the left block to the right to give access(click on the user name and then on the 'Add' button).
If the Supervisor can have access to all, tick the 'All agents' under 'Access to all agents' tick (right-hand side of screen).

If the Supervisor must do AQMs, tick the 'Unrestricted' option.

Click on the 'Apply Changes' button to save changes.

Now open a Supervisor and use the login you created. You enter it as login and password. Therefter you will have the option to set your own password. See forum post: How do I reset my Supervisor password?

  • If you need to change access for an existing Supervisor:
AMETHYST Webadmin Home page, click on 'Configure Supervisor' and then click on the name of the Supervisor you wish to edit. Change the required access and remember to click on the 'APPLY CHANGES' button to save the new settings.
