Cannot live/active listen to my USBClient recording files.

The software versions I am using are as follows:
  • Supervisor Version 1.6.4.6
  • Webamdin Version 1.6.4.2
  • USBClient Version 1.6.1.2

On the Supervisor View Agents screen under the 'Agent'column, the agent name is listed, but not in blue so that I can click on it to live listen. The status icon shows that it is recording.

In AMETHYST webadmin under Configure Agents, the status also shows that it is recording.

Why am I still not able to live listen?

Please check the following:

  • To live listen the Supervisor needs the 'Unrestricted Access' to be enabled. This does not mean the supervisor has access to all, there is another option for this.

  • For AMETHYST v1.6.4, you will need use USBClient v1.6.3.5 or newer.

    NOTE: To upgrade to USBClient v1.6.3.5, your current version should at least be USBClient v1.6.0.23 and AMETHYST must be running on v1.6.3.18

    Once versions is verified, download the update file, unrar the attachment, proceed to load via AMETHYST Web Administrator:
    usbclient-update-1_6_3_5.rar

    The update file will distribute the USBClient update over network and upgrade the individual USBClient stations, see

  • Live Listen uses TCP port 3085, see
