How to configure a SS-80 SA serial lan adaptor.

  • Log into the buffers web interface that is on port 80 (standard browser port).
    The default IP address is 192.168.0.226.
  • Once logged in select the global tab.
    In the global tab you are able to configure the IP address in the IP range of the PABX.
    The Function must be set as stand alone.

  • Once complete with this step select the socket 0 tab.

  • In the socket 0 we will configure the Remote PORT NO. and IP address of the PABX
    The mode to select is Active.

  • Once complete with the configurations select the save tab.
    Save changes and reset NIC.

  • Once complete please connect your serial cable MALE to MALE to the one end of the cable in PORT 0 on the serial lan adaptor and the other end into the TNG buffer.

Unable to access buffer web interface with default IP

Connect to the Serial port 1 with hyper terminal or putty once connected type "SHOW" this will show the IP address of the buffer and one can verify if the addresses are different.
