How do I delete archived recordings?

Datatex do not suggest deleting archived recordings.

AMETHYST has an auto archive feature that runs every night at 21h00. AMETHYST also has an auto purge feature, which if enabled will run each night at 00h00. This feature will auto purge as per ‘days to keep alive’ setting, but only if the archive was successful. Days to keep a live is the number of days back you can access recordings for using AMETHYST Supervisor.

Once auto purged the only copy of the recordings are the archived data. You can access archived recording using AMTListen. Auto purge will only clear space on your exclusive drive for new recordings to be loaded into the AMETHYST ‘live’ database. The recordings on the exclusive drive(s) is archived to your archive option (USB drive/NFS location/Windows Share). AMETHYST has the option to either archive to USB or NFS/Windows share and also run them DUAL. You then also have the option to make your own backup of these archives.

Once AMETHYST has archived successfully, it is your responsibility to keep the archived recordings secure. Depending on how long you must keep recordings for business purposes, you can maintain your archives accordingly. AMETHYST has no feature to purge archived data.
