Overview:
Amtsmdrlink receives data for the PABX unit and sends the call
data to AMETHYST for call termination. No user names are sent
to AMETHYST, only the extension number.
Required:
PC with comport to receive data from PABX unit
Serial connection from PABX unit to PC
amtsmdrlink.exe (for LINUX and Windows)
Installation:
Run amtsmdrlink.service.Install.exe.
A dialog box should pop up within moments
to confirm that the smdrlink has been installed as a
service.
The amtsmdrlink will startup automatically everytime the
machine reboots, but on it's initial run, is has to be
started manually:
To do this, go to Control Panel -> Administrative Tools.
Double-click on services and select the amtsmdrlink.
Click on "start".
If amtsmdrlink is not listed under services, you can add it manually.
Go to the folder 'C:\Program Files\Datatex\smdrlink' and see if
there is a file 'smdrlink_install.bat'. You can run the bat file to do
the install of the service.
If not present you need to do the following, open a commmand prompt and enter:
C:\Program Files\Datatex\smdrlink\amtsmdrlink.exe \install
Note: 'amtsmdrlink.exe' must be present in the folder
'C:\Program Files\Datatex\smdrlink', ensure that you have the correct exe name.
To uninstall the amtsmdrlink, stop it first via the services
window. Go to the installation directory(C:\Program Files\Datatex\smdrlink)
and run Uninstall.bat
All logs are written to a file in the logs directory.
(The "Logs" folder is created in the directory
(c:\Program Files\Datatex\smdrlink\) where the
executable is.)
