How to check if TNG buffer is using the comport?

OVERVIEW
You will need Hyperterminal to test the comport.
Hyperterminal should be available on the internet.

Please Note:
For the test to work you need to 'stop the TNG' service
Click on "Start" -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools ->
Services
Stop the TNG service.

Steps to follow:
Install Hyperterminal on the PC.
Click on 'Start' and navigate to All programs - Accessories -
Communications - Hyperterminal
Click on 'File' - Properties - 'Connect to'
Click on 'Configure' in the 'General' tab under 'Data connection preferences'
You need to set the 'Port Speed(baudrate)' to 9600(to what PABX is set
to) and set the 'Flow Control' to None. Also specify which comport you
would like to test.
Enter 'ver' on hyperterminal and if the buffer is connected to
the comport it will send back a reply eg. microbuffer Rev 1.05
If the comport is used by another application you will not get
any information on hyperterminal, the comport will be locked.

Notes: TNG gets the list of comports from the registry.
It will be logged in the TNG logs. TNG will only search these ports
for the buffer.
