My recording has noise/ is distorted

I am using AMETHYST and USBClient for voice recording. I upgraded Windows 7.

When I play my recording back, both sides is audible. It also has noise on the recording - like white noise / distortion.

Windows 7 has a sound boost feature. Please set the boost percentage between 1-5 % or make some test recordings and play with the configuration.
