Open your web browser and type in

;replace this with your Amethyst server's IP address

Note that from Amethyst 1.6 and higher, it is HTTPS and not just HTTP.
Your Amethyst Supervisor screen should then appear and you can log in.
The first time you access the site, you will have to add the Secure Certificate to your browser to allow it to authenticate properly in future.
You should get a screen that looks like this:
At the top of the window, next to the address bar, there should be a red button that states " Certificate Error". Click on this button and then on the "View Certificates" link that shows at the bottom of the popup.
When you click on this link, the Certificate properties window will show. On this window, click on the third tab "Certification Path" at the top of the screen so that you can see that it is the "Datatex Dynamics" root certificate that has a red dot with a cross in it.
It should show you the text:

This CA Root certificate is not trusted because it is not in the Trusted Root Certification Authorities store.
Select the "Datatex Dynamics" and then click on the "View Certificate" button. Another Certificate Property window will popup.
- On the Import Wizard, click next to get to the "Certificate Store" Screen.
- Select the "Place all certificates in the following store"
- Click the Browse button.
on the "Select Certificate Store" popup, select the "Trusted Root Certification Authorities". - Click OK
- Click NEXT until the end of the wizard and then finish the import.
- After you click "Finish" another popup should appear that asks to confirm the installation of the Certificate. Click YES here too.
Now you can close all the windows and when you try and access the page again, you should go directly to the login page. It should not complain about the certificates again.
