Overview:
When using a trunk side solution with AMETHYST, there can be a need
for client side popups. This is done with CTI devices.
Requirements:
- TAPI or TSAPI for live information:
- 3rd party configuration (PABX technician).
- Amethyst cardserver with trunk side solution:

- Configured CTI devices:
See configuration below in "Configuring CTI devices" section. - AMTClient:ALSO SEE:'AmtClient' section in AQM setup for Amethyst 1.5 on card solution (upto update version 1.5.10.0c)

Configuring CTI devices:
- Open and login to the Amethyst Webadmin.
- On the main page under the Agent Section, click on the "Configure CTI Devices" link.
This will take you to the configuration page. This list is automatically populated from the AmtClients that are installed on the agent PCs.
- This facility was only available on Amethyst 1.5 and is no longer available:
- Use the "Mass upload facility" below. Pipe delimiter strings can be
entered into the memo box and the "Add devices" button will add them for you. - String format => Extension|Device name| Windows login(Optional)|
Calls between screenshots(Optional)|Calls to next screenshot(Optional)| - If you previously had CTI devices configured on your cardserver and upgrades,
the devices will be lost. Because the configuration has moved to the server. - After upgrading your server, you will find a section in the ini file called [OLD_CTIDEVICES]
- Copy this section into the "Mass upload facility" memo and add the previous devices.
Field descriptions:
- Extension : This is the extension number of the device that is being monitored.
- Device Name : The name of the Device that will be used for display purposes and will be used as the name for recording on this device.
- Windows Login : The windows login that the user uses. This allows Amethyst to know which user is associated with this extension.
- Computer IP : The IP address of the computer where the AmtClient is running.
- TCP and UDP : Ports that AmtClient app uses to talk to the server.
- CBS : AMTClient takes screenshots, this is the Calls Between Screenshot recordings. This is also used to take the calls as AQM calls.
- CNS : This is the Calls to the Next Screenshot recording.
Click on the "Apply Changes" button to save the devices.
