Depending on what recording method is used :
USBClient :
- When starting up USBClient will send the Windows Login
as the username through to AMETHYST.
This username will be used to populate the Configure Virtual Extension grid
and will be used as the username in 'Supervisor'
- Note: The call details from some PABX units gives off the user name and
- SMDRLink Extension Mapping
- CTI Devices
- Sweeper 1.5.9.2 and newer 1.5 will look up the usernames against the agent list (which includes CTI devices). So if you have a USBClient or CTI device configured and the username has not been given, the Sweeper will use the username given for that extension.
- From Sweeper 1.5.9.10 onwards, the virtual extension list is also used to "look up" usernames.
- AMTCards 1.6.3.11: Extension-side solutions now default the username to "EXTxxxx", where "xxxx" is the extension number. This helps sites distinguish between recordings on extensions where the username is not set, and also helps managing Supervisor access for sites that have high staff turnover. -requires Sweeper 1.6.3.14
this will then be used as username, for example TAPIAssociate or AMTMitel.
If the user name is added here no lookup will be done.
There are only two means that extension side will have SMDR Information:
As RAWDATA is processed by SMDRLink the extensions will be added
to "Configure Extension" where usernames can be mapped to extensions.
If there is no Username in the DT string the sweeper will do a lookup
for the username. These usernames will not populate the configure
virtual extension grid.
Under "Configure CTI Devices" it is possible to force a name to
an extension mapping. These CTI names will be used to populate the
virtual extension grid. When a DT string is received in AMETHYST it will
send the username as part of this string to the recording method. Thus
populating the USERNAME field in the DT string.
Sequence for user name lookup:
If SMDRLink did not send a username,
then the sweeper will add the user name,
first CTI device lookup will be used,
thereafter Virtual Extension lookup.
- AMTMitel will provide call details just like SMDRLink, if a user name
is received from the PABX then this user name will be used. SMDRLink also
has a EXTENSION MAPPING feature that will provide an user if configure.
If you use AMTMitel, it will not use SMDRLink's user mapping.
If no user name is present or AMTCards is the user name, when a call is
sweeped then it will first use CTI devices and then Virtual Extensions as
lookup
