How do I make up a cable for my Topaz Nikon Buffer

The cable configuration from the PABX to the Topaz buffer is as follows:

WITH NO HARDWARE HANDSHAKING REQUIRED FROM PABX

PABX BUFFER
TX 3 -------------- 2 RX
SG 7 -------------- 5 SG

WITH HARDWARE HANDSHAKING REQUIRED FROM PABX

PABX BUFFER
TX 3 -------------- 2 RX
SG 7 -------------- 5 SG
DSR 6 -+------------ 4 DTR
CTS 5 -+

Bridge pin 5 and 6 on the PABX side if your PABX requires both
DSR and CTS to be high before sending data else only DSR<----DTR
is required

PLEASE NOTE
1. This is the default but could differ from PABX to PABX.
2. These are the minimum cables required.
3. Some PABX's might use straight cables then you should have

PABX BUFFER
TX 2 -------------- 2 RX

4. The buffer provides hardware flow trough a raised DTR signal. This
will drop when the buffer is full.

You should not have to make up a cable from the buffer to the PC as this
comes standard with the TOPAZ buffer. Should this be required than a
standard RS232 cable is required. This should do the trick.

PC BUFFER
RX 2 -------------- 3 TX
SG 5 -------------- 5 SG
DTR 4 -------------- 6 DSR

PLEASE NOTE
1. DTR--->DSR is required for the buffer to operate. The TOPAZ Buffer makes
use of this hardware handshaking. The buffer will not send any data if
DTR is low on the PC. This is also indicated by the steady DTR light on
the TOPAZ buffer.
2. You also need to make sure that the DTR hardware handshaking is turned
ON in the PABX2 or PABX3 interface.
