Topaz does not import data automatically

Client versions do not import data from PABX3,
and will always have a red status light for PBX.

On the Master TOPAZ :

First check in TOPAZ if the Timer is on.
At the top-left of your TOPAZ screen the red alarm clock must say Timer On.
Just click on the icon if it says Timer Off.

Check if network is set up under TOPAZ.
Click on [Setup -> Properties -> Network/FrontOffice].
Topaz Network and PABX 3 interface should be enabled and port specified.
On Topaz, the PABX3 IP must be correct. On the PABX3, the Topaz IP must be
correct. Get the IP address of the PC(with the Master Version of Topaz on)
from Windows and use that IP to match both.
ALSO SEE: How do I check the IP address of my PC?

Check if the pabx3 is running. On the right hand bottom corner of your
screen there should be a white telephone if not, start it up:
[Start -> Startup -> PABX3]. The white telephone should now appear and the
status light should be green.
Right click on the telephone. Choose [Show -> Options -> Network].
Make sure that it matches the ports under Setup in TOPAZ and network is
enabled.

Also check that the File Name in TOPAZ matches the one in PABX3.
File Name: C:\Program Files\Datatex\PABX3\pabx.pip
In [Topaz -> Setup -> Properties -> Pabx -> ]
In [PABX3 -> Options -> File Path -> PABX PIP -> ]

The PBX light is red when there is no UDP (TCP/IP) connection between Topaz
and PABX3. ALSO SEE: TOPAZ: TCPIP and network settings.

Also check the Next Update Date.
In Topaz on [Setup -> Properties -> Pabx]
If the date for the PC has been changed that date might be incorrect. Topaz will
always wait till that date and Time arrives before it will try to import
the data files again.

Check the log file for errors.
C:\Program Files\Datatex\Topaz\Topaz.log

Re-index the database files.
ALSO SEE: How do I re-index the database files?.

If there is a problem with the 'oldpabxpip' folder, it will not import.
To resolve this, close TOPAZ and rename the oldpabxpip folder.

In Windows 98 it has been noted that if the folder has to many file entries it will
not accept any other files to be moved into this folder. Also rename the folder.

Also see: How do I update my Calls live in TOPAZ?.
Also see: Data is being imported, but the TRX counter is not increasing.
Also see: No calls for today or recently.
