How to exclude Calls on Internal Lines in my Topaz Reports

1. Get Line Numbers:

You can group your Internal lines together with a description.
Get the line number from your Routing Table.
In Topaz go to RATES > ROUTING TABLE >
The line number with INTERNAL as UsePrefix is the line numbers you need.

2. Group Lines together:

Now use these line numbers. In TOPAZ go to DATA > LOOKUPS > LINES.
If you have 2 ISDN lines enter the line DESCRIPTION for both, example ISDN.

OR

Use the CallType = INTERNAL to group the lines together, if you want all the
internal lines grouped together. To use this you only do as explained in
1. Get Line Numbers.

3. Update database with change:

Now click Update TRX File ... (click on any tab next to LOOKUPS).
Select the date from WHEN you want the change to be made .
Topaz will update all the data with the line description if it was blank.
The update time depends on how much data you have in your database.

4. Setup the report:

You can use this line grouping to include or exclude calls made/received on ISDN lines.

Set your custom report up as you normally would.
To exclude the ISDN calls use FIELD SELECTION.
FIELD SELECTION = LineDescription, then <>, then your line description (ISDN in this example).
This will now print your report excluding all calls made on the lines grouped together.

Also See: How do I show line descriptions in the Trunk Line Activity Report?

OR

Set your custom report up as you normally would.
To exclude the calls thru INTERNAL LINES use:
FIELD SELECTION = CallType, then <>, INTERNAL.

*** If you want to see how many calls are made on your INTERNAL/ISDN
lines, use the above reports, but change the '<>' to '='. Now your
report will only show INTERNAL calls
