This could be an access/restriction issue in Windows.
Check the following:
- TNG Mitel barring service is developed to runs as user SYSTEM.
Please check under task manager that the user is SYSTEM, else you might have access issue. - Firewall
Ensure all TNG services are allowed under Firewall settings. - Anti-virus/malware.
Ensure that TNG services are allowed and folders excluded from scanning. - Create a file in the same folder as the tng mitel barring ini file.
Make a change to it and see if you have access to save it. If not, this is your issue. - 32-bit application
The service is a 32-bit application that can run on a 64-bit system.
If the service uses over 2 GIG memory it can go into a state where it does not function correct.
Please set TNG as per forum post for TNG TMS memory allocation for settings: How many calls can my TNG handle?
Once set check under Task Manager if any memory resource issues.
Make a change to the Exclusive Numbers and monitor the memory usage.
If it crashes also check the Windows Event logs to help trouble shoot.
WORK-A-ROUND:
- Stop the TNG Mitel Barring service.
- Edit the ini to add/remove telephone numbers.
- Start the TNG Mitel Barring service.
- Make a test call
